DANIEL TRICK - TRAINER
My name is Daniel Trick and I'm 37 years old from a little village called Alltwen in South Wales. I have a son Carwyn who is 3 in July. I moved out to New Zealand in 2014 to continue my career in the prison service. I've spent the last 17 years working in prisons.
Back in 2014 when I left the UK I was 130kgs. I landed in Auckland after the long flight from the UK and I went to put my shoes on. It was at that moment I had such a reality check. I was too overweight to tie my shoes laces and I was getting dizzy from bending down to tie them. This is what sparked my journey to weight loss and gym life. I struggled for many years with my weight fluctuating and couldn't really find anything that suited me and helped me to keep the weight off. Then I discovered high intensity circuit style training and it changed everything for me. Now I'm at a stage where I want to help others on their journey just like the people who helped me.
I love coaching at suburban and the culture we have here is awesome. I love pushing everyone to try new things and to smash those goals, and I love how much stick I get the harder I make the classes .....it's actually a compliment. Hahaha
